Artists worth considering for your collection.

Another 1 hour challenge to bounce around the platforms looking for good art
Making it in the list second week in a row is SAME
Deep Blue New Face Collection 061-068 Drop on
March 26, 9am GMT.
These are damn good and the best 1/1’s based series you can find. Do yourself a favour and add one to your collection. If however you’re the type that thinks chasing open editions until theres hundreds of identical copies made is good value, then piss your money away.
“The Same” is able to transcend the notion of the collectible and also make it art, as each of these perfectly conceived and executed masks adds to the series they become more rewarding the closer & more you look at them. These masks are an entirely original idea within the NFT space, the notion to use the visual language of ethnographic masks to create imaginary sophisticated digital representations of a “New Face” for those who identify with and also want to acquire. The attention to detail and the effort needed to create each unique one is easily apparent, but the sustained creativity is where the genius is. For the price, this project is the best value for the discerning collector.
If however you’re easily influenced by digital rubbish buy a Chubbie, or worse…a pair of CryptoBoobs
A limited series of 251 unique CryptoBoobs (in the making as we speak), each comes as 1/1 collectible assets, we will never make more. New releases every day until 250 is reached. The last CryptoBoob will be a custom made artwork.
This is a tribute collection to all the wonderful shades, shapes and kind of boobs that are out there around the universe, either in reality, in the movies or just in our distant memories.
If you buy one of these, such as CryptoBoobs MiniGun #037, for .25 ETH then shoot yourself in the head
Don't do it
Ok, now that I’ve got that off my chest……..(I know shit joke of the week)
Now to Makersplace ….nothing in the Popular Creations, will check the Featured Creations….one person caught my eye Robert Hruska as worthy of considering.
Besides too many “Spacemen” (assuming they’re men when you can’t see through the helmet is sexist), the other thing that totally pissing me off is PINK & PALE TURQUOISE.
Seriously when you scroll through hundreds of images and you see the same ubiquitous PINK & PALE TURQUOISE its enough to put you off completely wanting to buy, let alone recommend anything that’s PINK & PALE TURQUOISE.
When did PINK & PALE TURQUOISE come to define a whole colour genre within the NFT scene. Grow up and explore the whole colour gamut and stop being lemmings thinking you need to follow the inane chroma schematics to fit in.
Back to Robert Hruska’s creations, they have a sophisticated use of colour and he’s also not scared of using black and white.
Reverse rainbow mood, edition of 5
Blur the colours 1/1
For sheer variety and beauty of colour, there may be something worth considering acquiring?
Next over to Async to see what’s on offer?
and this is good by Jaime.Works
High on Boba
High on Boba is originally a physical traditional oil painting on canvas, 30x40’’ (76x100 cm) made in January 2020 in Boston, Massachusetts USA, and adapted for Async on March 2021. This piece is the first oil painting I ever made. It shows my character Milo drinking something that looks like green tea with boba. In this programmable NFT version, the painting goes into Dark Mode during the night and can be seen glowing as if it were under UV light. High on Boba was part of the ROX/SE Art Show at the Piano Craft Gallery in Boston, MA September 4, 2020 - September 27, 2020.
Description ; Updates twice a day to reflect day / night cycles.
Clearly the work of a young artist, however it caught my eye and I was surprised to read how young the artist is. I have a good eye for picking art, honed from decades of curating and just a glance at this tells me there’s artistic sensibilities at play far more sophisticated compared to time in the game. Design and sense of colour spot on and what you’d expect from an artist decades into their practice.
Currently bidding is at 0.15 ETH and if you’re a collector wanting to take a small financial risk to maybe pick up an early gem, then I would recommend purely on face value to buy this. You’ll get a wonderful artwork and also support a young artist.
Most collector mouth off about buying emerging artists, then run off to join the lemmings buying crap because they think there’s safety in buying crap. They don’t know they’re buying crap because the aura around certain “artists” is mesmerising and they just don’t wanna miss out.
To be a real collector, you need to stay independent of influences and also be able to make decisions on what you know is good, not what you heard is “hot”.
Taking educated risks is part of the game, who knows if Jaime.Works has what it takes to create a substantial art career? This artwork looks good, it’s inexpensive, it may take a hell of a long time to 2x, 5x etc The reward in taking a chance is unknown.
The opposite is to be a cynical flipper whilst masquerading as major collector of NFTs
Spent more time ranting this week than praising :(
Running out of time…….. ok , here’s an artist worth looking at JAYBIRD
I was alerted to his artist by Joe Bloggs, who described as a hidden gem and the artist as a the real deal, how can I not investigate?
I am a contemporary Aboriginal (Wiradjuri) artist living on north coast of NSW. I feel a deep connection to country and those around. These are my expressions
I am an Australian Aboriginal contemporary artist names Jay Bird. This piece is my first creation to be uploaded onto the platform. It represents our connection to country. Each person has their own unique connection to the land, regardless of where we call home. This is an attempt to merge ancient culture with modern technology.
This piece is part of a series on mental health. It represents the different energies and mindsets we all possess across all genders and ages and the effect those energies have, not only on our own state of mind, but also how they influence and effect those around us. Our mental health is often neglected and easily overlooked compared to our physical health but is in no way less important. This piece is a reminder of the battles we all face during different times in our mind throughout our lives. You may not see it in someone else but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Take the time to check in with yourself and your loved ones.
These NFTs are sold, but please bookmark this artist and check out new works as they are minted.
At .11 ETH, they are a bargain.
If you think NFTs are just a great way to make money, then look away. For those of you with a genuine love of art and don’t mind sifting through the dross to find gems, please don’t get sucked into the flipping game. It will ultimately destroy the entire NFT art scene if flippers prevail.
If you want to collect NFT ART then consider the unpopular and unknown artists. An artist like JAYBIRD is a perfect example, an indigenous artist whose art made up of patterns which have deep cultural meaning is precisely what should be collected.
OK, the hour has nearly passed and most of the time I’ve been ranting, oh well, there’s still time for two more gems.

I’m a sucker for slo-mo light reflections and Hydro Sunlight Mandala is mesmerising

Stelcart & Zam have collaborated for STRANDED SATURDAY 1/1
When artists collaborate the desired expectation is 1+1 = 3 , the cumulative is greater than the individual parts and Stelcart & Zam have risen to the occasion with this NFT.
Stranded Saturday 1/1 reserve price 1.1 eth
It’s a sultry Saturday night in Darlinghurst in the 1980's. The diverse cast of characters in the middle of Sydney city in easily rivaled their counterparts in London or New York; ZAM and Stelco join forces to portray this scene. On the street, outside the clubs among tipsy revelers are the door bitches, dive denizens and drag addicts; showing off their looks to fascinated (and maybe startled) passersby as they wait to get inside the venue, take a break from work, or have a smoke while they ready to go onstage. You may see Zoe Farris from the coat check at ‘Stranded’, Australia’s equivalent of the legendary Blitz Club, in her Pierrot-inspired theatrical garb. Or artist and costume/set designer Peter Tully in one of his upcycled headdresses and holographic jackets. Simon Reptile, at the time one of the most innovative and in-demand fashion stylists, showing off one of his distinct intricate layered looks, a veritable riot of garments, colors, patterns and accessories. Miss 3D and Theraza Green just hanging out before they are due to perform. And no night out is completed without a trip to that cultural mainstay the kebab shop of course.
